Midsummer celebrations in Sweden are supposed to take place in bright sunshine under a clear blue sky, or in heavy rain. This year is the first time I've experienced thick fog for midsummers. Note that I'm not speaking about the soft, veil like, beautiful early summer morning mist you sometimes get, but a thick, impenetrable, 12 hour fog of the type that big ships get lost in!
