This is a movie star!
The tug boat Arthur Foss was built in 1889 for long distance towing - sounds cool doesn’t it! Long distances are for example between Seattle and Hawaii, or Seattle and Alaska (during the Klondyke gold rush).
In 1933 it starred as the tug boat Narcissus in the blockbuster hit “Tugboat Annie”.It retired in 1968 and was donated to the Northwest Seaport and later became a National Landmark on its 100th birthday in 1989.
